What kind of callbox works with Chimekey?

Any callbox that dials a phone number when a visitor presses your unit button. Confirmed compatible brands include DoorKing, Linear, Mircom, Aiphone, Viking, Fermax, and Comelit. If your callbox has a "call tenant" or "dial number" feature, it almost certainly works. Not sure? Ask us at support@chimekey.com and we'll confirm.

Are there callboxes that don't work with Chimekey?

Yes — app-based and IP intercoms that don't place a standard phone call. ButterflyMX, Latch, DoorBird, and Ring Intercom run on their own cloud and app, so there's no phone call for Chimekey to answer and no tone to open the door. If your system is app-only, Chimekey isn't the right fit.
